ep 29 “off to college we go: the moms” with sabrina miller

I am sitting down with my friend, Sabrina Miller, who is also sending her daughter, Shelby, off to college…next week!   

Sabrina and I are candidly discussing our feelings, emotions, and thoughts about our daughters' upcoming college launch.  We are also learning to counsel our hearts as well as take our feelings to the Lord, the creator of them.

What are your honest thoughts surrounding our girls heading off to college?  Why do you think no one seems to talk about these thoughts and emotions surrounding this transition of leaving home and heading off to college? There seems to be a tension between expressing our thoughts and feelings, but also counseling our heart and mind not to stay there.  How are you working through this? What scriptures are serving as a lifeline right now? I would love to speak to the listener who is in the middle of parenting young children, and this day seems almost unimaginable.  What encouragement would you have?
