ep 30 “off to college we go: those before us” with kelly cheshier and kathy little
On today’s episode, we are wrapping up our mini-series entitled “off to college we go”…from the perspective of those who have already walked this road. I am sitting down with two mothers, Kelly Cheshier and Kathy Little, who are very transparently sharing about what life looked like when they dropped their children off for college and how the Lord met them in those “darker nights of the soul.” They are also testifying to the beauty they beheld as they saw the Lord work in the life of their college student, as well as in the lives of their remaining children at home. In other words, we are discussing the faithfulness of God and how He nurtures our faith in every season of life.
ep 21 “gospel-centered parenting: when life looks different than you envisioned” with melanie matthews
How can we intentionally root ourselves upon the Lord in such a way that when the unexpected comes and rocks us, we are able to remain firm in our faith? How can we practically keep the gospel in front of us on the days where everything seems to weigh heavy and we feel overwhelmed? We are talking about how the Lord tenderly meets us and reminds us of his presence through his word, prayer and the lives of others. How can we partner with others in a way that allows them a safe place to open up and share while also gently offers the hope of the gospel?
On today’s episode, I am chatting with Melanie Matthews, a wife and mother of three, as we continue on in our series on gospel-centered parenting. We’re talking about how we can apply the gospel when life looks different than we envisioned.
ep 17 “gospel-centered parenting: the teenage years” with dave and janet anglin
On today’s episode, we are talking about some common perceptions of the teen years but what this season can be looking through the lens of the gospel. How we can walk alongside and shepherd our children’s hearts in these years? How can we help them navigate this transition into adulthood? If more is “caught than taught,” how can we strive to live out an “authentic faith”, an overflow of who Jesus is to us, in front of them? What about those of us who feel we are too far into these years and have lost too much ground…is there any hope?
ep 4 “even in the unimaginably hard” part 2 with theresa mills
“Every time you tell your story and tell someone about how faithful God has been, you are reminded of it yourself.” In today's podcast, Theresa Mills shares with us how God ministers to us deeply as we share of His work in our lives and pour out to others. We are also discussing how to effectively walk unexpected and hard roads with our children and spiritual warfare. She has a very specific word of encouragement for those who are currently in the midst of walking through loss.
ep 3 “even in the unimaginably hard” with Theresa Mills
Putting feet to our faith is not an easy venture. Theresa Mills graciously shares from her deep loss on how the Lord met, ministered and empowers her to "go and do likewise" in the lives of others. If you have experienced any kind of loss in your own life or feel it is just hard to trust God at times, this episode is full of gospel truths and personal testimony that will leave you greatly encouraged in His ability to work in our lives, even in the deepest of grief.
